Today, November 11, is Veteran’s Day here in the US and is observed as Armistice or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world. Altho I don’t have any military service people in my family, I think it is very important for all of us to pay homage and give thanks to the brave women and men who serve in our armed forces. Pink reader Geana sent in a photo from her husband Sgt. Chris Cossota‘s re-enlistment ceremony last month. After successfully completing his tour of duty, Sgt. Cossota willingly signed up for another tour of duty in Afghanistan:
It is brave men and women like Geana‘s husband that bravely defend our country each and every day … so I don’t think it’s asking too much for the rest of us to take a bit of time to give thanks for their hard and very dangerous work. Please join me in sending all of our love, thanks and best wishes to Geana, Chris and every other member of the armed forces both here in the US and among our allies around the world. If you would like to do more, head over to IAVA.org to find out how you can help the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America in a number of important ways.
Thank you, Veterans.
